Valentine's Day

Wanna do something special for someone on Valentine's Day? Here are some cool ideas!

  1. Make some pancakes. It doesn't really matter how (mix, from scratch, etc.). While the pancakes are sizzling on the stove, cut up some strawberries into little chunks and put them on your pancakes. Or mix them into the batter. Either one.
  2. Cut the tops off of a bunch of ripe strawberries. Then cut each one in half so that they look like strawberry hearts. Trim accordingly.
  3. Buy some conversation hearts and attach them to red or pink tissue paper. Then cut the paper into five-by-five inch squares. Put your index finger in each one and crumple them to shape around your finger. Put green pipecleaners through them and add a yellow cotton ball for a floural touch (Note: You don't need the conversation hearts. It's just a suggestion.)

If you have any other ideas, we'd love to hear about them! Comment on any post. It doesn't matter if they're original...I got one of these from National Geographic Kids February Issue from last year, so feel free to find a recipe off the Internet (as long as you credit it) or dig through your mom's or grandma's recipe bin for some fun-filled Valentine's Day feasts!

Happy Valentine's Day!

  1. If you give someone a box of conversation hearts by themselves its still a good present, right? What do you give your valentine? Is it lame 2 have a valentine?
